Singapore, Korea pledge support

SINGAPORE -- Singapore and Korea have agreed to help each other develop their creative content industries, Singapore's Media Development Authority and the Korea Culture & Content Agency said Thursday.

The agreement was reached when MDA chairman Tan Chin Nam and Suh Byong Moon, KOCCA president and chief executive, signed a memorandum of understanding during a closed-door meeting here, the MDA said after the event.

Under the memorandum, each country will help the other train in media and digital media, the MDA said.

The agreement expands upon the two countries' commitment to media industry exchange as spelled out in a co-production agreement signed June 21.
