Six nominated for ICG's Les Mason Award

Publicists' society announced nominees in several categories

Two Warner Bros. veterans and four independent publicists were nominated for the ICG Publicists' Les Mason Award as the professional society announced nominees Tuesday in several categories of its 47th annual awards balloting.

The Les Mason Award is given for career excellence in film publicity, and this year's winner will be feted at an awards luncheon March 5 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City. Nominees for the award are Warner Bros.' Barbara Hannegan and Maureen O'Malley, Tony Angellotti of the Angellotti Co., freelance publicist Vivian Boyer, Stan Rosenfield of Stan Rosenfield Associates and unit publicist Deborah Wuliger.

International Media Award nominees are Jose Ignacio Cuenca (Spain), Margaret Gardiner (South Africa), Chris Hewitt (U.K.), Lynn Tso (Taiwan) and Stevie Wong (Asia Regional).

Noms for excellence in unit still photography went to Andrew Cooper, Richard Forman, Frank Masi, Jamie Trueblood, Barry Wetcher and Michael Yarish.

Other awards to be presented at the luncheon include the group's Motion Picture Showmanship Award, which will go to James Cameron; the Television Showmanship Award; a Lifetime Achievement Award to Robert Zemeckis; a Special Award of Merit to Ernest Borgnine; the Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Showmanship Awards for Television and Motion Picture; and the Bob Yeager Award, which recognizes significant community service.
