Sky One makes room for 'Fringe'

J.J. Abrams series will have U.K. debut in the fall

LONDON -- Sky One has picked up broadcast rights to J.J. Abrams' new sci-fi series "Fringe," which will debut in the U.K. in the fall.

Starring Anna Torv, Josh Jackson and John Noble, the action begins when an international flight lands at Boston's Logan Airport with passengers and crew all having met grisly deaths.

The show is produced by Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
