Maya Rudolph reprised her role as Kamala Harris with Beck Bennett returning as Mike Pence.

For Saturday Night Live’s cold open on Oct. 10, Maya Rudolph's Kamala Harris faced off against Beck Bennett's Mike Pence in a spoof of the recent vice presidential debate.

"Mr. Vice President, I’m speaking," Rudolph said, quoting the now-viral quote by Harris from the debate, which was met with applause in the Studio 8H audience.

The parody touched on a lot of the same topics as the actual debate, including Rudolph's Harris joking "Joe Biden fracks in his free time."

"The president is doing amazing thanks to his team of terrified doctors," Bennett’s Pence said in reference to Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis. He also called Trump’s physician Dr. Handsome Liar.

"Mama’s got all the vaccine she needs right here," Rudolph’s Harris said, picking up a martini.

At the end of the cold open, Jim Carrey reappeared as Joe Biden and said he needed to teleport into the debate to help Harris.

The cold open unsurprisingly poked fun of the fly that landed on Pence’s head during the debate by referencing the 1980s sci-fi movie The Fly. Carrey’s Biden transformed into said fly, and slowly morphed into a fly-Jeff Goldblum hybrid (who starred in the 1980s film). Kate McKinnon, who portrayed moderator Susan Page, tried to note the fly on the vice president's head, which Beckett's Pence buzzed off.

Carrey's Biden was soon joined by cast member Kenan Thompson, who appeared as a fly but shared he was Herman Cain reincarnated. The two continued to swarm about the head of Beckett's Pence as Rudolph's Harris laughed while watching and snacking on chips and guacamole.
