The charts rank the most popular personalities and TV shows based on data from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

A slew of actors from Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones reach The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Actors chart dated May 8, particularly within its top 10, thanks to big moments for both media franchises during the April 24-30 tracking week.

THR’s Social Climbers charts are rankings of the most popular entities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends engagement to entities’ social media accounts along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. The latest tracking week ended April 30.

In the Top Actors tally’s top 10 alone, Robert Downey Jr. (No. 2), Chris Evans (No. 3), Mark Ruffalo (No. 6) and Chris Pratt (No. 9) reach the chart from the camp of Avengers: Endgame, which opened April 26 in theaters. Downey, who portrays Tony Stark/Iron Man in the film and the corresponding Marvel Cinematic Universe, leads the way with his best chart position yet, eclipsing the No. 3 peak he accrued on the May 2, 2018-dated ranking.

Downey jumps from No. 9 to No. 2 with 1 million Facebook post likes and 2.3 million Twitter favorites, edging out co-star Evans, who moves from No. 21 to No. 3 with 3.4 million Twitter favorites (but less metrics on other services than Downey).

Additionally, Thrones' Maisie Williams is the HBO show’s representative in the top 10, re-entering at No. 5, her first time in the top 10. The top tweet of the week (674,000 favorites, 99,000 retweets) by an actor: Williams’ April 29 tweet responding to a post showing her and fellow Thrones actor Isaac Hempstead Wright as kids calling them “the Night King’s worst nightmare.” Williams was featured in a pivotal scene of the April 28 episode of the show, “The Long Night,” which marked an episode-long battle between its Night King villain and its (remaining) heroes.

Speaking of Thrones: The show spends its fourth straight week atop the Top Scripted list, thanks to “The Long Night.” Thrones retains its lead by a hefty margin, racking up 9.4 million Instagram favorites, 1.7 million Twitter likes and 750,000 Facebook post likes.

Elsewhere, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon lands its first frame at No. 1 on the Top News/Talk/Variety chart, shooting from No. 6 to No. 1 with a 92 percent boost in all social engagement, led by 551,000 Facebook post likes and 750,000 favorites of its YouTube uploads. The NBC late-night show (which sees its host also leap from No. 6 to No. 2 on the Top TV Personalities ranking) scored a viral hit thanks to its shot-for-shot remake of Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” music video starring Fallon and Paul Rudd.
