The charts rank the most popular personalities and TV shows based on data from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

After six weeks leading The Hollywood Reporter's new Top Unscripted chart, American Idol cedes the top spot on the May 15-dated list to World of Dance, which rises from No. 2 to No. 1.

THR's Social Climbers charts are rankings of the most popular entities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends engagement to entities' social media accounts along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. The latest tracking week ended May 7.

World of Dance leads with a 54 percent boost in overall social engagement, according to MVPindex. The NBC dance competition's third-season finale aired May 5.

It's the first show to lead Unscripted not named American Idol, as the ABC singing competition had ruled since the tally's inception (dated April 3).

Meanwhile, Saturday Night Live vaults from No. 9 to No. 1 to retake the summit of the Top News/Talk/Variety list. Much of the NBC series' boost in metrics — up 686 percent in all — is thanks to its return to live shows after a multi-week break. Still, the latest episode (May 4) was something of an event, with former castmember Adam Sandler hosting for the first time, joined by Shawn Mendes as the musical guest.

The other four Social Climbers charts' No. 1s hold at the top of their respective rankings, with HBO's Game of Thrones again ruling Top Scripted and Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Ellen DeGeneres leading Top Actors, Top Comedians and Top TV Personalities, respectively. Johnson, in particular, boasts the top three posts by an actor in the tracking week, a trio of Instagram posts celebrating his 47th birthday on May 2.

Priyanka Chopra jumps from No. 4 to No. 2 on Top Actors. Like many fellow stars, Chopra's Met Gala look earned her gains in social media metrics, with her slew of Instagram uploads from the May 7 event in New York helping provide her with 26.1 million Instagram favorites in all, up 212 percent.
