#SocialGathering: Ja Rule Goes After 50 Cent; Selena Gomez Fans Demand She Apologize for Woody Allen Film
The most followed person on Instagram might be losing her #clout.
Can't keep up with what's been going on in the social media world? Fret not. Here, a gathering of what stars, artists and brands have been up to this week on social media.
Ja Rule Is Going Through Something
It’s possible that Ja Rule got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning — or possibly hopped into his time machine. The rapper reignited his 2003 beef with 50 Cent, for no apparent reason at all.
And to all you journalist, bloggers, radio personalities DONT BE SCARED TO ASK @50cent why did he get an order of protection or did I whoop him out at the studio or did he talk to the feds...— Ja Rule (@Ruleyork) January 19, 2018
Holy shit I’ve been trending on @Twitter all day I must be famous or something...— Ja Rule (@Ruleyork) January 19, 2018
When Ja Rule started trending worldwide, fans were completely perplexed about what he could be going through. As of now, 50 Cent has yet to respond, but instead used the social media glare to promote his new film, Den of Thieves. Now that’s entertaining marketing.
Bow Wow dropping new music. Ja Rule beefing with 50. I’m gonna toss on a 4x white tee, baggy Girbauds, a NBA fitted and some fresh white AF1s just because today.— DJ Heat (@DJHeatDC) January 19, 2018

Selena Gomez Fans Speak Out
At a time when social media #clout is all that matters, Selena Gomez is losing the battle on Instagram. The star of Woody Allen's upcoming film, A Rainy Day in New York, and the most followed person on Instagram, with 132.7 million followers, has remained silent on the topic of her director.
Determined to get through to the singer, fans flooded her mother, Mandy Teefey’s, Instagram with comments, urging her to tell her daughter to apologize for working with Allen, who is facing mounting heat for decadeslong allegations of sexual abuse and harassment. (On Thursday, his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow reiterated a claim that Allen sexually abused her when she was a child during her first televised interview on CBS This Morning.) One fan in particular wrote to Teefey, “make Selena write an apology about the Woody Allen film.”

Long before Gomez pledged her support to #TimesUp, the singer urged survivors to come forward in Billboard's November 2017 cover story. “As people speak out, I hope that feels powerful to them, because they deserve to feel that. I’m fortunate enough not to have experienced some of the traumatic things that other women have had to go through. I’ve known people in my family who’ve gone through those things. I try to let people come to me and open up, to make a safe environment for them to do so.”
Terry Richardson Instagrams Photo of Nude Wife
Fashion photographer Terry Richardson, who is currently being investigated by the NYPD for sexual assault, posted a nude photo of his wife on Wednesday. Richardson has been quiet on social media about the allegations against him, but it's clear from this photograph that he's not interested in remaining silent.
