Sony/ATV Music Publishing Inks Deal With U.K. Banner Pulse Films

Pulse will aim to push opportunities across film, TV, advertising and branded content for Sony artists from Lana Del Ray and Arctic Monkeys to Motown and The Beatles.

LONDON -- Sony/ATV Music Publishing, which reps artists from Avicii, Lana Del Rey and Arctic Monkeys to Motown and the Beatles, has sealed a "creative collaboration" agreement with U.K. production and finance house Pulse Films.

The deal will fuel Pulse Films ambitions to drive the growth of the company’s music repertoire and administer the catalog on a worldwide basis.

The creative collaboration with Pulse Films will offer Sony’s roster of artist’s "worldwide access to commercial opportunities," including film, television, advertising and branded content.

Guy Moot, U.K. president of Sony/ATV and Sam Sniderman, managing director of film and entertainment, Pulse Films announced the deal Monday.

Sony/ATV boasts more than two million songs in its library, making it the largest music publisher in the world.

"We are delighted to now be in partnership with Pulse and look forward to the very successful years ahead."

Pulse is a content company working across film, music, television, advertising and branded content and is recognized as one of the forerunners in music film, content and video creation with a pool of directors represented in its ranks.

At Sony/ATV, James Carslake and Jon Pugh will be tasked with growing Pulse’s music publishing catalog, and seeking creative opportunities for the company’s artists across their projects.  Publishing projects will be overseen day to day by Pulse's head of music partnerships and communications James Hopkins.
