Sony Pictures Classics Picks Up Int'l Territories for 'Get Low'

Sony Pictures Classics has picked up multiple international territories on Aaron Schneider’s Get Low, a 1930s-set dramedy starring Robert Duvall, Bill Murray and Sissy Spacek.

SPC picked up rights to Get Low from K5 International for the U.K., Ireland, Germany-speaking territories, Latin America, South Africa and CIS (former Soviet republics).
SPC has turned Get Low into a sleeper hit in North America, where the film has grossed more than $9 million.

The film is based on mysterious, but real events surrounding Felix Bush (Duvall), a recluse living in the Tennessee foothills who arranges and attends his own funeral to clear up a few rumors about his past.
