Sony to Represent Warner Music in India

The licensing deal covers the multiplatform distribution of a catalog that includes Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, The Doors and Madonna, among others.

Sony Music Entertainment India will represent Warner Music's catalog and labels in India and the seven other SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries, which include Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

The licensing deal covers multiplatform distribution of the Warner catalog, which features artists such as Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Green Day, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Madonna, Coldplay, Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback, Kylie Minogue, Michael Buble and Bruno Mars, among others.

Warner Music was previously licensed here via EMI/Virgin Music India. With Warner's recent acquisition of Parlophone Label Group in July, the combined catalog is one of the largest globally and encompasses a roster of some of the world's most celebrated and popular artists and recordings.
