Sony ups House to Euro games CEO

Veteran rises as chief exec David Reeves departs

TOKYO -- Andrew House will become chief executive at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe on May 1, replacing current president and CEO David Reeves.

House, who is currently the company's chief marketing officer, joined Sony in 1990. He will take over responsibility for managing the PlayStation business in almost 100 countries across Europe and the PAL region, which covers most of Asia, Africa, South America and Australia.

Reeves, who joined Sony in 1995, was named president and COO of SCEE in 2003, and CEO in 2005.
