Sony's Michael Lynton to keynote ShoWest
SPE chairman and CEO to speak at March 15 luncheonSony's Michael Lynton will deliver the opening-day keynote address at ShoWest 2010, organizers said Tuesday.
The chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment will speak March 15 at a luncheon set to open the annual exhibition confab, which runs through March 18 at the Paris and Bally's hotels in Las Vegas.
"As our business evolves to keep pace with the times, our keynote speaker this year couldn't add a more informed perspective on our industry," ShoWest managing director Robert Sunshine said.
Lynton assumed his post in January 2004. With co-chairman Amy Pascal, he manages SPE's global film, TV and digital operations.
Before SPE, Lynton was CEO of AOL Europe. He was chairman and CEO of Pearson publishing unit Penguin Group from 1996-2000 and worked at Disney for nine years before that.
