The controversial 'Southern Charm' star won't return for the show's forthcoming sixth season.

Thomas Ravenel has been charged with assault and battery in the second degree and won't be returning to Bravo's Southern Charm.

According to Charleston County jail records, Ravenel, 56, was arrested and charged with assault and battery in the second degree Tuesday. The details of his arrest remain unclear.

The network's decision to drop the controversial TV personality — who has appeared on the docuseries since its 2014 debut — comes on the heels of the arrest in Charleston, S.C., where the show is set, Bravo confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

The disgraced politician's termination from Southern Charm comes one month after he said he was making an exit from the Bravo series — which wrapped its fifth season in April — on his own accord. "I'm not doing the show anymore. In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me," he claimed in a since-deleted tweet. "I decided I've got too much to lose and informed them I'm not coming back."

Months prior, in May, police began investigating Ravenel after he was accused of sexual assault. A real estate agent named Ashley Perkins alleged that Ravenel sexually assaulted her mother, Debbie Holloway Perkins, in December 2015 after they matched on Tinder.

Ravenel’s attorney previously denied the sexual assault claims in a statement: "My client enjoys a certain degree of fame and unfortunately has become — unfairly — a target for an individual who has, in my opinion, dubious motivations."

One week later, another woman named Dawn — who once worked as a nanny for Ravenel, who shares daughter Kensie, four, and son Saint, two, with ex Kathryn Dennis — also accused the dad-of-two of sexual assault. The former South Carolina State Treasurer has yet to respond to the allegations made by his former employee, who was featured on Southern Charm.

Prior to his Tuesday arrest and sexual assault allegations, Ravenel was indicted on federal cocaine distribution charges in 2007 and sentenced to 10 months in jail. As a result, he was suspended from his role as State Treasurer. Ravenel eventually resigned and went to rehab.

A premiere date for season six of Southern Charm has yet to be announced.
