Specific Media secures $100 mil


Online advertising network Specific Media has closed a funding round that will see tech-focused private equity firm Francisco Partners inject up to $100 million into the company.

Specific Media said Thursday it will use the money for acquisitions that build on its current platform. "The online advertising space continues to be one of the most attractive segments of the technology market," said Francisco co-founder Neil Garfinkel, who will join the firm's board.

Specific Media said it reaches more than 130 million unique users for a total U.S. reach of 72%.
