SPI in Central Europe branching out

Adding Romania, Baltics, former Yugoslavia, Ukraine

MOSCOW -- SPI International Central Europe, a film producer, distributor and TV channel owner with offices in Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava and Budapest, plans to enter other markets, Ivan Hronec, the company's GM told The Hollywood Reporter. The markets are Romania, the Baltics, former Yugoslavia and Ukraine. SPI's share of the theatrical markets of the countries it's already in is 15%. Hronec added that longer-term expansion plans also involve Russia.
