Lendeborg Jr. joins Nick Robinson and Logan Miller in the coming-of-age and coming-out story.

Jorge Lendeborg Jr. has joined the cast of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, Fox 2000’s adaptation of Becky Albertalli’s YA best-seller.

Greg Berlanti, best known as the showrunner of The CW’s DC Comics-based superhero shows, is directing the drama, which is being produced by Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill. Pouya Shahbazian also is producing.

Nick Robinson is starring in the coming-of-age and coming-out story, playing a high school junior named Simon whose sexual-orientation secret falls into the hands of the class clown, Martin (Logan Miller). Simon finds himself in a complicated situation when he’s blackmailed into helping Martin get to know his best friend, Abby, the new girl in school.

Lendeborg’s character's details are being kept under wraps.

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who co-executive produce the NBC show This Is Us, wrote the script.

Lendeborg Jr. made his feature debut starring in The Land, a gritty coming-of-age drama that premiered at last year’s Sundance. He is there once again this year for Brigsby Bear, a dramedy that counts Claire Danes, Andy Samberg and Mark Hamill in its cast. In between, the up-and-coming actor booked gigs on high-profile movies, including Spider-Man: Homecoming and Alita: Battle Angel.

He is repped by Momentum Talent Agency, Mosaic and Hansen Jacobson.
