Spike TV Orders ‘Flipping Foreclosures’

Six-episode series will be executive produced by “The Biggest Loser’s” Dave Broome.

Spike TV is getting in on the house-flipping phenomenon, ordering six episodes of original series Flipping Foreclosures, the network announced Monday.

Executive produced by Dave Broome (The Biggest Loser) and 25/7 Productions, Flipping Foreclosures will feature Utah-based duo Doug Clark and Mike Baird as they take viewers through the process involved with house flipping, including tips and analysis, in Salt Lake City.

“The heart of the series is our enterprising, ambitious hosts who look to persevere in the financially precarious world of real estate,” said Tim Duffy, Spike TV senior vp original series.

The series marks Spike’s latest entry in its attempt to grow the men 18-34 demographic. The cabler has Auction Hunters, the net’s second-highest-rated unscripted series, and Coal, both delivering strong ratings in the demo.

Spike’s pickup comes a week after A&E ordered seven episodes of new series Flipped, featuring former Survivor finalist Russell Hantz and his family attempt to flip homes in the Houston area.

Both series will premiere in the fall.
