Spotify Predicts Top Grammy Winners: Pharrell, Sia and More

Live Earth

The music streaming service gathered global data to predict which artists will win in the top four categories at Sunday's Grammy Awards.

Spotify compiled data from its 60 million users worldwide to predict who will steal the four biggest categories at the Feb. 8 Grammys, and Pharrell Williams and Sia top the list.

The digital, on-demand music streaming service pulled data on the most popular streamed songs, artists, albums and viral songs to determine the winners in Sunday night's top four categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.

Here are the big winners, according to Spotify:

Record of the Year: Sia, "Chandelier"
Album of the Year: Pharrell Williams, G I R L
Song of the Year: Hozier, "Take Me to Church"
Best New Artist: Bastille

Spotify also determined that Sia's "Chandelier" was the most-streamed song around the globe in both the Record and Song of the Year categories, as well as most viral in Record of the Year (Viral = number of streams divided by the number of shares).

The 57th annual Grammy Awards will air on Feb. 8 at 8/7C on CBS.
