The entrepreneur's live-work Venice Beach loft has an indoor-outdoor layout with an ocean-facing patio.

Ara Katz, co-founder and chief marketing officer of shopping app Spring and a founding team member of BeachMint, is listing her Venice Beach live-work loft for a breezy $2.395 million.

The entrepreneur and her husband Chris Ovitz, founder and CEO of hiring marketplace Workpop, are freeing up 1,775 square feet on Abbot Kinney Blvd. for a homeowner seeking a live-work balance by the beach in this two bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom space. Architect and creator Michael Sant designed the residential/commercial space known as "Microscopic Town."

At the end of a long day, residents can unwind in the master suite (with an attached master bath) that opens onto an ocean-facing patio with an included fireplace overlooking Abbot Kinney. Guests can stay in the separate guest suite, which is complete with a full bath, or the large studio that can also be used as an additional bedroom.

"It's a beautiful space to be creative," Katz told The Hollywood Reporter of the studio space, which is where she worked to launch Spring. The master bedroom is also tied as Katz's favorite room in the home.

"The light that comes through at all times of day is stunning and when the shades go up in the morning, you can see the tops of all the palm trees on Abbot Kinney," she told THR. "It's one of my favorite views."

Within the contemporary space, residents can bring the outdoors in through the loft's indoor-outdoor layout, which conjoins two structures with a private courtyard and succulent garden. An abundance of glass windows and walls brighten up the compound-like space, allowing for sunlight to naturally lighten the all-white bedrooms and living areas.

Included in the purchase of the home are two parking spots, surround sound, storage and consoles, two separate storage units and custom built-in vanities, all ideal for the minimalist's lifestyle.

Katz hopes that the new homeowner will appreciate "the minimalist living, the unique indoor-outdoor layout and the incredible location right on Abbot Kinney," of the loft. "As a New Yorker, living above a bakery with everything we need within walking distance, feels like city living but with the beach just three blocks away."

Mark Kitching, associate partner at Partners Trust, is the listing agent.
