Star India channels land on Comcast

Programming targets 3 mil Indian-Americans

NEW DELHI -- News Corp.'s Star network announced Thursday that five of its Indian channels will target 3 million Indian-Americans via Comcast subsidiary International Networks, an aggregator of multiethnic programming.

IN will represent Hindi entertainment channels Star Plus, Star Gold, Star One, south Indian channel Vijay and Hindi news outlet Star News to MSOs in the U.S.

The agreement will see most of the channels included on IN's transponder and available for MSOs immediately.
