Star India, Studio18 promote execs
Adyanthaya moves up; Viacom unit restructures managementNEW DELHI -- Star India English channels Star Movies and Star World executive VP and GM Keertan Adyanthaya will now head Fox International Channels India as managing director, the company said Wednesday.
In his new position, Adyanthaya will supervise channels including National Geographic, Fox History & Entertainment and upcoming channels such as Baby TV, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Music and National Geographic Channel HD.
Before heading English movie channel Star Movies and entertainment outlet Star World, Adyanthaya was heading the network's flagship Hindi entertainment channel StarPlus.
Meanwhile, joint venture Viacom18's film division Studio18 has restructured its senior management team.
The company's head of international operations, Hemant Bhardwaj, will now take over as senior VP, distribution, marketing and syndication for India, based in Mumbai replacing Priti Shahani who recently resigned.
Meanwhile, Tanuj Garg, who headed Studio18's UK and Europe business while taking care of international marketing and syndication revenues, has now been upped to head of international distribution, marketing and syndication while continuing to be based in London.
