"I hope the FBI finds and prosecutes the complete A-hole who hacked the President's account and tweeted this," Jimmy Kimmel fired back.

Almost as soon as President Donald Trump fired off a tweet saying the FBI "missed all of the many signals" from the shooter of a school in Florida on Wednesday, Hollywood fired back with claims that the president was using a tragedy to self-aggrandize.

In his tweet on Saturday night, Trump wrote, "Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign - there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!"

The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, perpetrated by a 19-year-old former student, claimed 17 lives on Wednesday and left at least 14 injured. The FBI on Thursday published a statement saying that in January a person close to shooter Nikolas Cruz voiced concerns about him and his capacity to conduct a school shooting on an FBI tipline; the agency said that "protocols were not followed" to report the tip to the FBI Miami Field Office.

Stars slammed Trump quickly on Saturday, with ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! host Jimmy Kimmel calling him an "A-hole" and The Wire creator David Simon labeling him "scum." Schitt's Creek actress Annie Murphy argued that by supporting lax gun laws, Trump had imperiled those who died at the school.
