Starz adds more Yari films

Starz Entertainment has acquired exclusive rights to five films from indie producer Bob Yari.

The titles in the deal are "Even Money," starring Danny DeVito, Kim Basinger and Ray Liotta; "Kickin' It Old Skool," starring Jamie Kennedy; "Redline," starring Eddie Griffin; "Gray Matters," starring Sissy Spacek and Alan Cumming; and "First Snow," starring Guy Pearce and Piper Perabo.

The five newly acquired films will premiere this year on the Starz and Encore linear channels as well as Starz on Demand and Vongo, Starz Entertainment's broadband video download service.

The deal continues Starz Entertainment's relationship with the Yari Film Group. Starz previously licensed from Yari titles including "The Illusionist," starring Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti; "Find Me Guilty," starring Vin Diesel; and "Winter Passing," featuring Ed Harris and Will Ferrell.
