Stations put 'Wilkos' back on the beat

NBC Universal Domestic TV Distribution's "The Steve Wilkos Show" will return for a second season after clearing more than 85% of the country.

The talk show hosted by the former police officer and "Jerry Springer Show" bodyguard had been renewed by several leading station groups, including Tribune, Sinclair, Fox, LIN and Sunbeam. Stations that have re-upped the strip include Tribune's WPIX New York, KTLA Los Angeles, WGN Chicago and WPHL Philadelphia.

"With more than a decade of daytime experience, Steve has built on that success, and his show has done a great job of complementing stations' already existing daytime lineups," NBC Uni Domestic TV Distribution president Barry Wallach said.
