Stefanie Scott's Runway-Inspired 'Do for the Billboard Music Awards
Hairstylist Ryan Richman took cues from Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid on the catwalk.
Lady-in-red Stefanie Scott wore a striking Dolce & Gabbana pants and crop-top combo to the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night, with a head-turning 'do to match.
Hairstylist Ryan Richman turned to the spring/summer 2015 Dolce & Gabbana runway for inspiration, and the runway looks worn by Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss. "We wanted it a little cleaner and a little less messy than the runway," said Richman, who gave Scott her totally covetable face-framing updo.
"I prepped towel-dried hair with Healthy Sexy Soy Renewal Creme Oil to protect the hair against heat and to speed up drying time,” said Richman, who then created a center part with a wide-tooth comb. After blow-drying hair while combing through with a large round brush, Richman braided at the back of the neck with R+Co Conformist Hair Paste ($27) to smooth flyaways, before securing the braid with elastic, and pulled it apart slightly to give the hair more texture. Using bobby pins, Richman then wrapped the braid in a round bun shape and loosened pieces around her face to give the look an overall undone feel. The look was then set in place with Smooth Sexy Hair Smooth and Seal Anti-Frizz and Shine Spray ($18.95).
We love this look on Scott, but nothing beats our excitement for the 'dos she'll sport as Kimber in the forthcoming Jem and the Holograms movie. Truly outrageous? We can only hope.
