Steve Carell, Amy Schumer, Nicole Kidman to Star in 'She Came to Me'
OddLot Entertainment, which made 'Hell or High Water,' is producing the comedic drama.
Steve Carell, Amy Schumer and Nicole Kidman have signed on to star in She Came to Me, the latest film project from writer-director Rebecca Miller.
Gigi Pritzker and Rachel Shane are producing via OddLot Entertainment, which was one of the companies behind last year's surprise hit Hell or High Water. Miller, the daughter of playwright Arthur Miller and who has written directed such movies as The Many Lives of Pippa Lee and Maggie’s Plan, is also producing with Damon Cardasis via their banner Round Films.
Plot details were not revealed, but the project is described as a sweeping comedic drama, a multigenerational story about family and the complexities of modern life with a through line of two intertwining love sagas.
OddLot is readying to unveil its first-ever scripted series, Genius, on National Geographic in April. Ron Howard directed the first episode of the show, which focuses on Albert Einstein (played by Geoffrey Rush).
Carell is about to start shooting the father-son meth addiction drama Beautiful Boy for Amazon Studios and has true-life tennis drama Battle of the Sexes with Emma Stone slated for a September release from Fox Searchlight.
Schumer will next be seen in the mother-daughter comedy Snatched, which is set to open May 12.
Kidman is currently starring in HBO’s Big Little Lies with Shailene Woodley and Reese Witherspoon.
Carell is repped by WME and Media Four Management; Schumer is with UTA and B Company; and Miller and Kidman are repped by CAA. Kidman is additionally repped by Media Talent Group.
