Steven Spielberg Attends Broadway's 'Color Purple' 30 Years After Film's Release

Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey have reunited on Broadway.
Spielberg attended the Broadway musical The Color Purple on Wednesday night for a mini cast and crew reunion 30 years after the film's release. Spielberg, director of the 1986 film version, and Winfrey, who starred in the film as Sofia, took a photo with the cast after the evening's performance.
Winfrey tweeted the photo, saying "Steven Spielberg saw @BwayColorPurple for the first time tonite and loooved it!"
The Broadway version of The Color Purple stars Jennifer Hudson, Cynthia Erivo, Danielle Brooks and Isaiah Johnson, and is at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in New York.
