Stevens, Pollock, Stringer to receive AFI degrees


The American Film Institute will present honorary degrees to three key figures at its commencement ceremony Wednesday as part of its 40th anniversary celebration. AFI founding director and award-winning producer George Stevens, Montecito Picture Co. partner and AFI board of trustees vice chairmanTom Pollock and Sony Corp. CEO and AFI board of trustees chairman Howard Stringer will be presented degrees by David Lynch, Jon Avnet and James L. Brooks, respectively.
