Stevie Wonder, Lance Armstrong join telethon

'Stand Up to Cancer' airs Sept. 10 on the major networks

Set to air next month, the TV fundraiser "Stand Up to Cancer" on Thursday announced its list of scheduled celebrity appearances, including many who have faced the disease, such as Lance Armstrong, Christina Applegate, Michael C. Hall, Maura Tierney, Robin Roberts and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer and Brian Williams are the hosts of "Stand Up to Cancer," which will air Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC, as well as various cable channels.

Musical performances include a good mix of new and iconic artists, such as Stevie Wonder, Aaron Neville, Natasha Bedingfield, Martina McBride, Dave Stewart and Queen Latifah.

Reese Witherspoon, Mandy Moore, Apolo Anton Ohno and Jim Parsons are also set to make appearances.

The telecast is being produced by Laura Ziskin, a cancer survivor who produced the first "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon.
