'Story of Anvil' touring U.K. via the Works

Rockumentary centers on 'demigods of Canadian metal'

LONDON -- Sacha Gervasi's award-winning rockumentary "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" has struck a chord with the Works U.K. Distribution.

The company has claimed U.K. rights for the pic in a deal hammered out by Works managing director Mick Southworth and director of marketing Laurence Gornall and CAA's Micha Green and Brian Kavanagh-Jones.

Directed by Gervasi and produced by Rebecca Yeldham, "Anvil" stars real-life band members Steve "Lips" Kudlow and Robb Reiner.

As 14-year-old school friends from Toronto, they promised to rock together forever, with their band Anvil going on to become the "demigods of Canadian metal."
