Strand Releasing Picks Up U.S. Rights to French Film 'Service Entrance'

Philippe Le Guay's comedy stars Carmen Maura and Natalia Verbeke as Spanish maids upending a Parisian household.

Strand Releasing has acquired all U.S. rights to Philippe Le Guay's comedy Service Entrance, which just had its North American premiere at Rendezvous with French Cinema in New York.

Set in Paris in 1960, the movie stars Fabrice Luchini and Sandrine Kiberlain as a husband-and-wife whose bourgeois life is upset by two Spanish maids played by Carmen Maura and Natalia Verbeke.

Strand is planning a late 2011 release for the film, which was produced by Philippe Rousselet and his company Vendome Pictures.

Strand's Jon Gerrans negotiated the deal with Charlotte Boucon of SND Goupe M6.
