Strike delays family forum

The Association of National Advertisers' Family Friendly Programming Forum has decided to postpone its Nov. 27 symposium, citing "uncertainties resulting from" the writers strike.

The event will be rescheduled for 2008.

"We have been monitoring the situation since it began and are hoping for its swift conclusion," ANA president and CEO Bob Liodice said. "With no projection for resolution in the short term, we made the decision to postpone our event until 2008."

The ANA's membership includes 360 companies with 9,000 brands. .

The FFPF is a group of major national advertisers, all members of the ANA, whose mission is to encourage the development of family-friendly content on television and other platforms.
