Style to lasso Texas socialites


Style Network has ordered a new reality series about the world of mother-daughter socialites.

In "Mothers and Daughters of Dallas" (working title), the Comcast-owned fashion-themed network will tell the stories of wealthy women in the Lone Star State as they struggle to maintain their status. The series will follow four mothers and daughters in a privileged community.

"Everything is bigger in Texas — the attitudes, the hair, the jewelry and the lavish lifestyles that bond these mothers and daughters," Style president Salaam Coleman Smith said.

Allison Grodner and co-exec producer Peter Tartaglia will produce with Style exec producers Sarah Weidman and Merah Chung.

Style has ordered eight hours of "Mothers," which will premiere in the fall. (partialdiff)
