Kering Selling Off Shares of Puma [WWD]
After considerable speculation regarding whether or not Kering was looking to sell off Puma, moves have finally been made. On Thursday, the fashion conglomerate looked to distribute 70 percent of its shares in the athletic giant. Kering is said to be turning more of its attention to its luxury brands. In the third quarter alone, sales spiked 13 percent.
Clare Waight Keller's Second Campaign for Givenchy Is Here [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Clare Waight Keller's second campaign as the creative director for Givenchy is here. The spring 2018 images, photographed by Steven Meisel, put her first full runway collection for both men and women in the spotlight. There was an emphasis, notes Keller, on the theme of mirrors and reflections. "There’s this sense of a different reflection of the couple," Keller told BoF, "and for me, the mirrors then become something that is destroyed and crushed and break that image of the past in a way, bringing something that’s more reflective."
THE SS18 CAMPAIGN: A first look at artistic director @ClareWaightKeller's Spring-Summer 2018 campaign, shot by #StevenMeisel in a private mansion in upstate New York. A Seventies vibe comes through in black and white portraits with an offhand attitude, as if the shots were taken among friends: the images are like an invitation to hang out with the in-crowd. #GivenchySS18
Street Style Photographer Nabile Quenum Dead at 32 [Fashionista]
Beloved street style photographer Nabile Quenum has died at the age of 32. Quenum, a native of Paris, was a staple on the streets of fashion week, known for his jovial attitude and signature Coke bottle glasses. His work has been featured in Vogue, GQ and New York magazine. He was also known as one of the leaders of last year's No Free Photos movement. A cause of death has not yet been determined.
An incredibly sad day. To learn that someone you admire and respect has passed. Nabile had a passion for life which was infectious in his presence. A true gentleman.
