Future Zahir Wilburn, Ciara's son from her past relationship with rapper Future, has officially made his modeling debut. The photogenic 3-year-old landed his first commercial campaign with Gap Kids. Ciara shared an adorable first look at the campaign that shows the tot running across the asphalt in a pint-sized bomber jacket.
Yeezy Will Continue to Show at NYFW [WWD]
While Rodarte, Altuzarra and Thom Browne are fleeing New York Fashion Week in favor of Paris, it looks like Yeezy is staying put. Kanye West will reportedly show Yeezy Season 6 in the Big Apple this September, according to WWD's sources, which report that West is in talks with the CFDA to find an available slot on the calendar. The designer had previously found himself in hot water with the CFDA for failing to consult with them on an available show time.
Woolmark Prize Winners Include Los Angeles Designer [Vogue]
The U.S. winners of the 2017 Woolmark Prize have been revealed: Los Angeles-based Zaid Affas, who has dressed Tracee Ellis Ross and Kylie Jenner, scooped up the womenswear award, while New York-based Christopher Bevans of Dyne has been awarded the menswear prize. Both designers will receive $70,000 Australian dollars (about $56,000) and have 6 months to create a six-piece capsule collection made with Merino wool, which will be showcased at the International Woolmark Prize finals, where the U.S. designers will compete against other Woolmark winners from across the globe for the grand prize of $200,000 Australian dollars (about $159,000).
National Women's History Museum Awards Kerry Washington the "Women Making History" Award [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
The National Women's History Museum has named Kerry Washington among one of the three recipients of the sixth annual Women Making History award for her groundbreaking work on Scandal (she's the first black woman to headline a network TV drama since 1974). Fellow recipients include Instagram COO Marne Levine and SpaceX president and COO Gwynne Shotwell. The women will be presented with their awards on Sept. 16 at a ceremony presented by Glamour at the Beverly Hilton.
Balmain Casts Kylie Jenner for Beats by Dre Collaboration Campaign [Instagram]
Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing designed a new look for Beats by Dre's Powerbeats3 Wireless ($250) and Beats Studio Wireless headphones ($600), timed to the opening of the French fashion house's new Los Angeles flagship. The olive green and dusty rose-colored Beats are modeled by Kylie Jenner in the accompanying ads. "Seeing music and fashion as completely intertwined simply reflects how my generation grew up — we simply cannot conceive of one without a full helping of the other," said Rousteing of the collaboration.
