In case you missed it.
Gigi Hadid Is Now Designing Boots [WSJ]
Hot off the heels of her Tommy X Gigi collection in collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, Gigi Hadid is already back at the design drawing board. In her cover story for WSJ. Magazine's October issue, the 21-year-old reveals her latest gig: designing boots for Stuart Weitzman (she also starred in the brand's fall campaign). Other gems from the interview include a road map for Hadid's updated five-year plan, which includes acting ambitions, more designing and a possible cooking show.
Kylie Jenner Donating Lip Kit Profits to Charity [Fashionista]
Kylie Jenner's latest Lip Kit kolor isn't named after any of her extended family, but rather is named for the charity Smile Train, in honor of World Smile Day. "So excited to reveal SMILE, a beautiful pale pink shade that I created in partnership with @SmileTrain for #WorldSmileDay," wrote Jenner on Instagram. "Smile is launching Monday, October 3 at 11a.m. PST! 100% of net proceeds will go to Smile Train to support cleft surgery for children in the developing world."
Vivienne Westwood, Virgil Abloh Hop on See-Now, Buy-Now Wagon [WWD, WWD]
It appears the "see-now, buy-now" bug is contagious because designers across the board — from Ralph Lauren and Burberry to punk legend Vivienne Westwood and streetwear sensation Virgil Abloh — are getting on board. Both Westwood and Abloh revealed their strategy on Thursday. Westwood, who collaborated with Andreas Kronthaler on a unisex collection, will sell the 20-piece capsule immediately following the Saturday show. Abloh's Off-White label will offer the binder-clip bag from the collection on Oct. 2.
