Ireland Basinger-Baldwin Is Latest PETA Ambassador [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Model Ireland Basinger-Baldwin follows her mother Kim Basinger in posing nude for PETA’s latest ad. In the campaign, shot by Brian Bower Smith, the 22-year-old’s body is covered by the words, "I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur." In an exclusive video interview, Basinger-Baldwin notes that her modeling contract includes an anti-fur clause. Her actress mother starred in PETA’s anti-fur campaign in 1994, and her father Alec Baldwin and his current wife Hilaria also have supported PETA.

Rent the Runway Goes Fur-Free [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
In other PETA news, the animal rights organization announced Thursday that New York-based designer fashion rental company Rent the Runway has instituted a new fur-free policy and removed all fur items from its site in response to repeated pressure from PETA. Rent the Runway joins fashion companies such as Giorgio Armani, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Michael Kors and BCBG Max Azria in its implementation of a fur-free stance.
Hunter and Target Collaborate on Collection [Target]
Heritage British footwear brand Hunter, known for its $150 Wellies that are loved by everyone from Queen Elizabeth to Kate Moss, has teamed with Target on a wide-ranging collection of footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids, along with home items such as hammocks, sun umbrellas and coolers. The 300-plus-piece collab line is set to hit stores Saturday, April 14, and most pieces will ring in under $30.
Christian Louboutin and Puig Partner on Beauty Licensing [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Storied Parisian footwear and accessories brand Christian Louboutin launched a beauty line in 2014 that now includes nail lacquer, lipsticks, mascara, eyeliners and a trio of fragrances. On Thursday, the French company announced that it has teamed with Barcelona-based Puig, known for its fashion and fragrance brand-building, on a long-term licensing deal in an effort to broaden the reach of Christian Louboutin's beauty range.
