Kendall and Kylie Jenner Designing for Italian Label OVS [WWD]
Kendall and Kylie Jenner are taking their passion for design to Italy for a capsule collection with Italian mass market retailer OVS. The sisters, who already design for their namesake Kendall + Kylie collection, are designing a collection of women's ready-to-wear and accessories which will be distributed in Italy, Switzerland and Austria. The first of six drops hits shelves in March.
Bottega Veneta Joins the NYFW Schedule [CFDA]
To celebrate the opening of its New York flagship early next year, Bottega Veneta is decamping from Italy to New York to show its fall 2018 collection. The time slot for the Italian brand, which usually shows in Milan, was revealed on the CFDA's official calendar yesterday; they will show on Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. just after Cushnie et Ochs. Kanye West's Yeezy and Fenty Puma by Rihanna are not listed on the schedule. Yet.
Dirty Lemon Collaborates with Vogue [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Dirty Lemon, the beverage brand touting mood- and health-boosting lemon-infused products, teamed up with Vogue to create two bottles. The limited-edition bottles will be available beginning Jan. 3 online and each case includes a $65 one-year subscription to Vogue. The collaboration was toasted in New York City on Thursday evening with a performance by Cardi B, which was attended by Prabal Gurung and Sophia Bush.
Travis Scott Curates Vinyl Record for Saint Laurent x Colette [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Travis Scott curated tracks for a record — including hits from Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Kanye West and James Blake — for Saint Laurent's collaboration with Parisian luxury boutique Collette. The limited-edition vinyl was produced by 12on12 by Flaunt magazine, and will be available for purchase on Dec. 18. The Saint Laurent collab is the storied boutique's last before it closes its doors for good at the end of the year.
H&M to Close Stores After Missing Targets [Bloomberg]
H&M plans to close more stores after reporting the biggest drop in quarterly sales in more than a decade, largely due to physical stores' poor performance. The Swedish fast-fashion retailer is said to be losing customers to Zara, whose parent company Inditex reported 13 percent growth in the same quarter. Stock for H&M fell 16 percent following the report.
Stella McCartney to Show Pre-Fall 2018 Collection in L.A. [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Stella McCartney is headed to the City of Angels next January. The designer, who will present her fall collection at Paris Fashion Week in February, will show her pre-fall 2018 collection one month prior during a special presentation in Hollywood on Jan. 16. The invite to the soiree, which will include both womenswear and menswear, also promises a special musical guest performance.
