Kerry Washington Covers Allure [Allure]
Beauty magazine Allure has made a splash for this month's (almost) bare-faced cover star: Kerry Washington. In her cover story, written by Judith Newman, the Scandal actress opens up about being a positive role model for her children, including her decision to wear her hair naturally, and how life has changed since the ABC show first aired five years ago. She also opened up about the importance of playing a female lead on a major network primetime show as a black woman in the age of raising race tensions: “For her to be three-dimensional and complex and fully human and not anybody’s stereotype or caricature is a big deal,” said Washington.
Zaras's Sister Brand for Teens, Berksha, Opens In the U.S. [Racked]
Berksha — Zara's little sister label for teens — has officially landed stateside. In addition to opening the doors of its first American pop-up store on Tuesday in SoHo, the brand has also begun shipping to the U.S. The price point for the retailer skews even cheaper than Zara, and right now everything is 20 percent off in celebration of its American expansion.
Cara Delevingne Signs With IMG Models [WWD]
Cara Delevingne has officially signed with IMG to manage her modeling career. The 25-year-old was previously signed with Women Management in New York and Elite in Paris. She will continue to be represented by WME for her acting career, and will now be co-represented by WME | IMG for endorsement deals. Delevingne joins the Hadid sisters and the Gerber babies (Kaia and Presley) as a members of the IMG fam.
