Barbie Fashionista Dolls Star in Target Swim Ads [Instagram]
Target style has tapped the new Barbie Fashionista dolls — which come in curvy, tall and petite — for its swimwear ads, photographing the diverse range in its in-house swimwear brands. As 2015's leading swimsuit retailer, Target has emphasized diversity as part of its inclusive advertising strategy, pairing the campaign with the tag line, "Target loves every body."
FKA Twigs Directs, Stars in Calvin Klein Video [YouTube]
Multihyphenate FKA Twigs both stars in and directed a new video campaign for Calvin Klein's denim line. Dancer Kaner Flex stars alongside Twigs in the video, which is set to her latest single, "Good to Love." The musician was also featured in the brand's spring campaign, which saw the return of fellow ambassadors Kendall Jenner and Justin Bieber.
Goop Branded Skincare Now Available [Racked]
Good news for Gwyneth Paltrow fans dying to get that "Goop Glow." Goop's new line of skincare is now available online. The six-product collection includes eye cream, facial oil, a facial mask, organic moisturizer, "melting cleaner" and night cream, and is priced between $90 and $140. No one said the glow was cheap.
Bottega Veneta, Chopard Stores Looted [WWD, WWD]
It was a rough week for European luxury stores. Both Bottega Veneta and Chopard stores were robbed in a pair of unrelated incidents. In Milan on Monday, thieves looted between 20-25 bags from Bottega Veneta's boutique, while in Paris on Thursday, armed robbers broke a display case and made off with its contents. Both incidents are currently under investigation.
