Vogue and Google Partner on Voice-Activated Content From September Issue [Adweek]
Vogue and Google have partnered up to give readers a behind-the-scenes glance at what went into the making of the glossy's September issue, which features Jennifer Lawrence on the cover. Utilizing Google Home devices (similar to Amazon's Alexa), users can access voice-activated content, including soundbites from cover story writer Jason Gay. With the prompt, "OK Google, ask Vogue to tell me more about Jennifer Lawrence," the device will play Gay's voice retelling anecdotes from the writing of the story. The feature is available for articles about Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman and Megyn Kelly as well. 

Mickey Drexler Is the New Chairman of Outdoor Voices [Business of Fashion]
Mickey Drexler, the longtime former CEO of J. Crew who stepped down earlier this year, has a new gig. The industry vet has joined the three-year-old activewear startup Outdoor Voices as the chairman of the board of directors. The appointment follows a $9 million convertible funding round led by Drexler Ventures, an investment firm he launched in June that advises young up-and-coming companies.

J. Crew Shares Continue to Drop [Fashionista]
J. Crew, which lost CEO Mickey Drexler and creative director Jenna Lyons earlier this year, has continued to underperform. The company reported a decline in both profits and sales in the second quarter of fiscal 2017. However, the losses were somewhat buoyed by Madewell, J. Crew's little sister line, which posted an 11 percent bump in comparable sales for the second quarter.

Abercrombie & Fitch Shares Soar on Smaller-Than-Expected Losses [Business Insider]
Abercrombie & Fitch shares surged almost 20 percent after posting a smaller-than-expected loss. The bump was mostly fueled by demand for Hollister, which reported a 5 percent boost in comparable sales in the second quarter, which was 2.1 percent higher than analysts' expectations.
