Greenpeace's “Detox Zara” campaign asked consumers to spread information alleging that Zara clothing items have been found to contain chemicals that are hazardous to the environment and some potential cancer causing chemicals on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. On Friday, Zara parent company Inditex caved to the social media campaign and posted a thorough detox plan on their website, committing to eliminate all discharge of hazardous chemicals from its products by 2020. {Racked}
