Suge Knight Pleads Not Guilty in Camera Theft


The rap mogul appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom and was released on $500,000 bail

Former Death Row Records CEO Marion "Suge" Knight pleaded not guilty to a robbery charge and was released on bail Wednesday, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said.

Knight and comedian Katt Williams were arrested on Oct. 29 and charged with one count of robbery each for allegedly stealing a camera from a photographer on Sept. 5 in Beverly Hills.

Knight appeared at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse, where he was released in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Since his arrest, Knight spent several days in the Los Angeles County jail and at a Las Vegas hospital, where he was treated for a blood clot, NBC LA reported.
Both Knight and Williams are due back in a Los Angeles courtroom on Dec. 24 for arraignment, the DA's office said.
If convicted, Knight, who previously was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon, faces up to 30 years to life in prison. Williams faces up to seven years in prison.
