Magnolia will represent the doc at the Berlin Film Festival.

HBO has picked up the U.S. TV rights to Tickled, a documentary that premiered in the World Documentary section at the Sundance Film Festival.

Magnolia acquired North American theatrical rights, as well as world rights outside of North America (excluding Australia and New Zealand).

Tickled was directed by David Farrier and Dylan Reeve and chronicles their investigation into the predatory secrets behind the online entity of "competitive endurance tickling."

The filmmakers are ultimately led down a rabbit hole of legal threats and private investigators, leading to an exploiter of young men in the name of a fetish subculture.

In The Hollywood Reporter's review, Sheri Linden called the exposé "captivating and jaw-dropping."
