Ex-SundanceTV Exec Nena Rodrigue Named BBC America Original Series Head
Rodrigue reteams with former Sundance TV president Sarah Barnett, who is now BBC America president.
Former SundanceTV exec Nena Rodrigue has boarded BBC America as head of original programming as she reteams with BBC America president Sarah Barnett.
Barnett, previously president of SundanceTV, has tapped Rodrigue to fill the newly created post to oversee BBC America's development, original productions, co-productions and acquisitions.
"Nena is a highly sophisticated programming executive, with a creative vision that will be invaluable for BBC America’s next phase of growth,” said Barnett in a statement.
Rodrigue served as senior vp programming and production at SundanceTV. SundanceTV and BBC America are both part of the AMC Networks channel group, with BBC America operating as a joint venture between AMC Networks and BBC Worldwide.
