'The Chosen,' starring Kian Lawley, will be the first film released on Vimeo under the new deal.

Vimeo will become the exclusive home of several new films from Supergravity Pictures.

The ad-free streaming platform has inked a deal with Supergravity to release four of the company's digital-first films over the next year through its on demand platform. Each film will be available exclusively for online rental or purchase on Vimeo On Demand for a 30-day period.

The first film to be released under the new deal is The Chosen, which stars YouTuber Kian Lawley as a teenager forced to choose between saving his family or his niece after she becomes possessed by a demon. The horror flick will have a theatrical premiere on July 24 and will simultaneously be made available on Vimeo.

"We're excited to be working with Supergravity to release their fan-fueled films directly through our global VOD platform," said Vimeo director of marketing and distribution Peter Gerard.

Max Benator and Marc Hustvedt founded Supergravity in 2014 to produce films starring digital talent to be distributed through event theatrical releases and video-on-demand. The Chosen is the company's first film. It is also set to release Man Up, a buddy comedy starring Justin Chon and Kevin Wu, and recently announced that it is in preproduction on a documentary film from Ray William Johnson.
