'Supernatural's' Misha Collins "Mugged," "Beaten Up" During MinnCon, According to Accounts

Twitter fans said Collins missed his panel on Saturday due to an accident.

Supernatural fan favorite and series regular Misha Collins was mugged and beaten up during his trip to the Supernatural Convention (MinnCon) in Minneapolis, Minnesota Friday night, according to multiple accounts by attendees.

An outpour of the CW show's fans sent well wishes to the actor on Twitter Saturday, one tweeter describing Collins' badly-bruised lip: "Misha can't smile. Misha Collins who's smile lights up an entire room cannot smile because his lip is hurt so badly. Im so upset."

The Misha, We Love You! Twitter account tweeted that Collins was mugged by four men: "Apparently four guys mugged him and beat him pretty badly. & he's still there doing photo ops, bless him." 

Another Facebook user posted that actor and MC Richard Speight Jr. announced that Collins would miss his scheduled panel because of the events that took place: "Richard just came out to announce that Misha was mugged and beaten up last night. His panel has been cancelled, he's still going to try to do photo ops as he can. I'm like … Freaking out right now I hope he's ok."

According to the Creation Entertainment's website, he was set to appear Saturday alongside fellow special guests Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Mark Sheppard, and numerous others.

Collins informed fans Saturday afternoon on Twitter that he had some "minor scrapes": "Hey guys! Thanks for all the well-wishes! Just want u to know I've just got some minor scrapes. I'm totally fine! Love u guys."

Aside from his acting career, Collins is the co-founder and board president of the Random Acts organization, which "encourages people of all ages to perform their own acts of kindness wherever, and whenever, possible," according to the website. The organization had a booth at MinnCon to spread the word of their global outreach and is in the running of a competition through Sunday to win a $500,000 grant.

Collins has been on Supernatural since 2008.

A CW rep did not immediately respond to The Hollywood Reporter's request for comment.
