'Survivor' renewed for two more cycles

CBS orders 19th and 20th editions of reality show

CBS has ordered two more cycles of its hit reality series "Survivor" to run next season.

They will mark the 19th and 20th editions of broadcast TV's longest-running reality competition series, from producer Mark Burnett.

Jeff Probst, who won the first Emmy Award for best reality host, will continue as host.

" 'Survivor' is one of CBS' signature series and symbol of enduring quality and entertainment on primetime television," CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler said.

This fall, "Survivor: Gabon" averaged 13.8 million viewers and a 4.6 rating /12 share among adults 18-49, dominating its Thursday 8 p.m. slot.

The current 18th edition, "Survivor: Tocantins," premiered Feb. 12.
