Susan Sarandon, Josh Lucas join 'Peacock'

Bil Pullman also on board with Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page

Susan Sarandon, Bill Pullman and Josh Lucas are joining Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page in Michael Lander's psychological thriller "Peacock."

Mandate Pictures and producer Barry Mendel's film is set in Peacock, Neb., where a train crashes into the backyard of a bank clerk (Murphy), revealing a woman no one knew lived there.

Lucas will play his friend and a local cop, Pullman is cast as his supervisor and Sarandon will portray the mayor's wife, who runs the local women's shelter. Page will play a woman from the clerk's past who might hold the secret to the mystery woman.

Lander co-wrote the screenplay with co-producer Ryan Roy. Production begins this month in Iowa.

Mandate's Nathan Kahane and Nicole Brown will executive produce, and their outfit's international arm is repping the film's Festival de Cannes sales.
