UPDATED: No injuries are reported as police continue to investigate the scene.

A suspect has been taken into custody after police responded to a report of a gunman at the Los Angeles Times building.

No injures were reported, and officers remain on the scene investigating, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter.

The Times reported parts of its downtown building were placed on lockdown after a woman told police a coworker showed her a bag with bullets in it and said he was depressed.

The man, described as in his 20s, was reportedly not a Times employee but rather works for VXI Global Solutions, which occupies space in the building. Shortly after 9:00 p.m., the Times tweeted the lockdown had ended. Police later said no gun was recovered at the scene.
